Content Policy

newTumbl is a U.S. company and subject to U.S. laws and jurisdiction. The original version of this Content Policy (and any other terms, policies, or guidelines that we provide to you) is written in English. To the extent any translated version of this Privacy Policy (or any other terms, policies, or guidelines that we provide to you) conflicts with the English version, the English version controls.

Modifications to this Policy

newTumbl reserves the right to modify this Policy by (1) posting a revised Policy on and/or through the Services and (2) providing notice to you that this Policy has changed, generally via email where practicable, and otherwise through the Services (such as through a notification on your newTumbl Dashboard or in our mobile applications).

Allowed Content

newTumbl allows you to post most content that is not considered illegal in the U.S. This includes both visual and textual content. newTumbl's commitment to your right to freedom of expression means that we won't censor your content even if we personally do not agree with it.

However, this freedom does not come without responsibilities. Foremost, in order to use newTumbl, you are subject to our Community Guidelines and therefore must treat other members of the newTumbl community with respect at all times. This means that even when you don't agree with someone, you may not harass, troll, stalk, threaten, or treat them disrespectfully.

Prohibited Content

While newTumbl upholds your right to post legal content, certain types of content are illegal or are prohibited by policy. The following categories of content may not be posted on newTumbl:

Pornography Involving Minors

It is illegal throughout the world to disseminate pornography involving minors. Users who post or reblog pornography involving minors are subject to immediate termination. newTumbl will cooperate with federal and international law enforcement agencies to assist in the arrest those who violate such laws.

As a matter of site policy, you may not post content involving minors unless they are members of your family or members of an organization or business in which you are directly involved, and the post occurs within a Family rated blog. newTumbl may, at its sole discretion, remove any content that depicts an individual who can reasonably be assumed to be a minor and/or in violation of this policy.

Bestiality and Zoophilic Pornography

It is illegal throughout most of the world to disseminate bestiality and zoophilic pornography. Users who post or reblog bestiality and zoophilic pornography are subject to immediate termination. newTumbl will cooperate with federal and international law enforcement agencies to assist in the arrest those who violate such laws.

Materials Related to Terrorism

It is illegal throughout most of the world to disseminate materials related to terrorism, foreign or domestic. Users who post or reblog materials related to terrorism are subject to immediate termination. newTumbl will cooperate with federal and international law enforcement agencies to assist in the arrest those who violate such laws.

Other Illegal Activities

newTumbl prohibits posting solicitations for illegal activities including, but not limited to: prostitution, human trafficking, and the sale of drugs, weapons, or armaments. Users who post or reblog solicitations for illegal activities are subject to immediate termination. newTumbl will cooperate with federal and international law enforcement agencies to assist in the arrest those who violate such laws.

Speech that Encourages Hate or Violence

newTumbl prohibits posting content that directly calls for imminent violence upon a person or group. This is not to be construed as a prohibition of unpopular or unfriendly speech. Specifically, newTumbl supports your right to express your own beliefs, even when we disagree with you. However, you are still subject to our Community Guidelines and therefore must treat others with respect at all times. Users who threaten another member with violence are subject to immediate termination.

Impersonating Someone

newTumbl prohibits impersonating someone in a misleading or deceptive manner. If you believe someone is impersonating you in contravention of these guidelines, please contact us and we will review the account.

Illicit or Private Content Without Consent

newTumbl prohibits the posting of illicit or private content of another person for which that person expressly withholds consent.

Copyrighted Content Without Consent

newTumbl prohibits the posting of content for which the copyright owner expressly withholds consent.

Spam

newTumbl prohibits spam, which is generally defined as repeated, unwanted, and/or unsolicited actions, whether automated or manual, that negatively impact newTumbl users or the greater newTumbl community. Spamming is punishable by content removal, account suspension, or account termination.

The following are examples of behavior that may be considered spamming and subject to punitive action:

• Repeatedly sending the same or similar messages to other members.

• Repeatedly posting the same or similar remarks in a post.

• Repeatedly posting unrelated/off-topic tags.

• Repeatedly posting unrelated/off-topic/link-farmed content.

• Posting content that includes link redirects as a way to circumvent an existing domain block and/or to disguise a link's source.

• Linking to harmful third-party content, such as malware, phishing, deceptive pop-ups, etc.

• Automating software that harms or negatively impacts web site performance, including bots intended to promote content/products/services.

How to avoid being labeled as a spammer:

• Post authentic content.

• Use the queue to schedule your posts.

If you detect spam-like behavior in a post, please flag the post as spam and an admin will investigate the blog.

Enforcement

newTumbl employs various means of enforcing our content policies including, but not limited to:

• Asking you nicely to knock it off.

• Asking you less nicely.

• Removal of content.

• Placing restrictions on your account.

• Temporary or permanent suspension of your account.

• Cooperation with law enforcement agencies.
